Rotelec and CETIM strengthen collaboration for induction heating R&D

Rotelec has started a collaboration with CETIM, the French Technical Center for Mechanical Industries, a Carnot-certified research organization and one of Europe’s leading industrial R&D players, to reinforce research and development activities related to induction heating for hot strip mill applications

This step supports a clear objective: expanding Rotelec’s ability to develop, validate and refine solutions designed to improve thermal controlprocess consistency and equipment reliability in demanding steel production environments.

A collaboration focused on development and validation

For Rotelec, innovation means more than introducing new equipment. It means improving how technology performs under real operating conditions

By working with CETIM, Rotelec strengthens its access to advanced engineering support for activities such as testingmaterials analysis and technical validation. The aim is to support the continuous development of induction heating solutions with a strong focus on industrial robustness and application performance

From research to measurable industrial value

In hot strip mill applications, induction heating plays an important role in compensating thermal losses and supporting more stable process conditions before finishing. Strengthening R&D capabilities in this area means working on solutions that can deliver more consistent temperature control, better operational reliability and stronger overall process performance

This collaboration is fully aligned with Rotelec’s technical approach: combining electromagnetic expertiseprocess knowledge and engineering development to deliver practical value to steel producers.
