Founded in 1977, Rotelec designs and manufactures electromagnetic stirring systems for billet, bloom and slab casters, and induction heating systems for hot strip mills.

Its role is not simply to supply equipment. It is to act on critical points of the steelmaking process with technologies that help control liquid steel flow, guide solidification and restore the right thermal profile before rolling.

This is why Rotelec combines metallurgy, engineering, manufacturing, testing and commissioning in one specialized organization. Every solution is developed around actual casting or rolling conditions, section size, steel grade, productivity targets and plant constraints.

Tailor-made design is part of the company’s identity. Each system is conceived to answer a process question: where is the critical point, what phenomenon must be controlled, and what metallurgical result is expected.

Since 1991, Rotelec has been part of the Danieli Group.

Within that framework, it continues to operate with its own technical focus and its own industrial mission: developing electromagnetic process technologies for steelmaking.

Behind the technology there are people, but what defines them is not a slogan. It is the ability to turn process knowledge into working systems for continuous casting and hot rolling.
