Technology and R&D

Research-driven, process-focused, built for steelmaking.

Computation and process understanding

At Rotelec, computation is not an abstract exercise. It is a tool for understanding how steel behaves in real process conditions and for designing technologies that act with precision where control matters most.

Our work combines modelling, plant feedback and technical expertise to evaluate steel flow behaviour, electromagnetic effects and process response in casting applications. This allows us to move from theory to measurable industrial performance.

Rotelec develops methods that connect electromagnetism, fluid dynamics and metallurgy, so that every solution is grounded in process logic rather than approximation.

Technology built around process needs

Our technologies are developed to answer real industrial questions: how to control liquid steel flow in the mould, how to influence solidification in the right zone, and how to improve thermal uniformity before rolling.

This is why our systems are not designed as standard machines applied the same way everywhere. They are built around section size, process conditions, metallurgical goals and customer constraints.

That is how Rotelec works: process first, solution second.

R&D

R&D is where engineering, metallurgy and industrial application come together.

It covers the mathematical modelling of liquid steel with and without electromagnetic forces, experiments on low-melting-point alloys, and studies of liquid steel flow behaviour in industrial continuous casting moulds.

More than an engineering department, it is the place where process questions become technical answers.

This is how new methods take shape.
This is how technology becomes useful.
