3 PRODUCT LINES
MULTIPLE TECHNOLOGICAL SOLUTIONS
Rotelec develops electromagnetic and induction technologies for the steel industry based on one clear principle: controlling steel behavior at the point in the process where that control creates the greatest value. Depending on the production stage, this means moving liquid steel in a controlled way, guiding solidification, or restoring the right thermal profile before rolling. The three product lines bring these applications together into distinct but complementary families designed to improve product quality, process stability and plant productivity.
Electromagnetic stirring
for billet and bloom casting
In billet and bloom continuous casting, rotative electromagnetic stirring helps control liquid steel during the most sensitive stages of solidification. Rotelec develops solutions that act in the mold, along the strand or in the final stage of solidification to improve surface quality, internal structure, segregation control and casting stability.
Electromagnetic stirring
and braking for slab casters
In slab casting, the wide and flat geometry requires linear electromagnetic flow control. Rotelec solutions for slab casters combine stirring and braking to govern molten steel behavior in the mold and, further down the strand, improve internal solidification structure. The result is more precise control of the meniscus, solidification and final slab quality.
Induction heating
for hot strip mills
In hot strip mills, thermal control before the finishing mill is critical for both product quality and rolling efficiency. Rotelec induction heating solutions use electromagnetically generated eddy currents to compensate for temperature losses in the most critical zones, improve thermal uniformity and reduce defects, unnecessary trimming and process instability.
